April 23rd Fishing Report

A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 63. Breezy, with a west wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Creeks are clear and low.  Temperatures in the low to mid 50s area wide.
Despite the continued spring winds, fishing has been pretty good recently.  On bright and sunny days we are seeing some caddis hatches (both black and tan).  On cloudier days the olives are still showing up too.
Subsurface fishing has been great on thin bodied bead heads as well as minnow patterns (lots of bait fish are spawning right now).
