Trip Reports post flash floods
Tired of reading the doom and gloom out there about flooded streams and muddy water?  I was too, so I went fishing with clients and on my own.
Caught a ton of these:

A few of these:

And even a couple of these:

Streams have flooded a couple of times already this season, there is not a lot of bankside muck to blow through the system, so the streams are clearing lightning fast.  4 inches of rain in a day, no problem, we will have stained to clear water on a few streams the next morning.  In other words, do not give up just because some rain came through!  Scuds, pink squirrels, and midge larvae.  Fishing has been fantastic of late, especially with the high water and springs pumping in cold water overtime.  I even caught a hatch last night (Monday night) and caught fish on olive emergers.
