Black Caddis Hatch
Right around the corner, the black caddis hatch usually happens in Mid April, right around tax day.  If the temperature stays as warm as it has been it may start a bit earlier.  This is THE hatch to fish in the area, and fish eat dries, larvae, and pupae with gusto.  We have some new patterns in to match this hatch, come in and check them out as well as the old standby patterns (bubble back caddis!).
One tip for the hatch is that when fish are refusing all black patterns, go a shade lighter into the grey colors as many naturals are a charcoal instead of a true black.
