Going rogue
Cloudy weather, drizzles and showers, and a high in the high 60's.  Yesterday was perfect weather to hit some new water.

We have been fishing on the Mississippi river qute a bit over the past year and as we learn the water and the habits of the big water we are catching more and more fish.  As we turn the corner into summer it is a great day spent fishing for trout early in the morning, then fishing bass in the late afternoon and evening when trout stream temperatures make fishing downright difficult.
Yesterday was spent with my wife poling around the backwaters and catching bass on poppers and crease flies.  They were holding tight to the steep banks and hit with zero hesitation.
We will start to stock some bass bugs this year, and who knows, if you twist our arms hard enough we may just set up some guide trips on the mighty Mississippi!
