The Next Little Thing III
Fly boxes.  Too many options out there, most fly shops remind me of a toothpaste aisle with tons of options that all do the same thing.
Rarely does an option come along that really makes you sit up and take notice.  Our Driftless Angler Magnetic boxes have me switching over all of my old dry fly boxes.

As you can see, it holds a ton of flies with lots of space.  The strips are strong magnets that grab on to and hold hooks well.

It survives the shake and thump test, and when I tossed it across the stream on the West Fork of the Kickapoo, only a few larger flies and the few bead heads I had in there moved or shook loose.

Why a dry fly box?  Well foam boxes, even the largest rippled kind, tend to crush hackles.  Compartment style boxes can be messy and you can have a gust of wind blow out all your bugs.
This box holds the flies neatly without crushing any hackle.

I have a handful of bead head nymphs in here too, but it is not optimal for weighted flies.  For nymphs, a slotted foam box will do much better.

You can now buy this box through our online shop, as well as in person.
