More water is dropping and clearing, and after a nice chilly night fishing will be great this morning. There have been a handful of olives, caddis, and craneflies hatching area wide, and a few fish eating on the surface.
Scuds are fishing extremely well right now as they are flushed downstream during high water events. Fish have been eating gray and orange scuds.
Leeches, streamers and buggers are catching fish on the murkiest waters.
Larger streams are still murky, but the tributaries are stained to clear.

Water continues to drop and clear. We do have clear and fishable water (and the fishing on those bodies of water is great), however the larger streams are still murky. Look for everything to continue to drop and clear over the next few days.
On the fishable waters, scuds and pink squirrels are doing very well, and a few fish are hitting on the surface on crickets and other terrestrials.

The bad news: We had 3 inches of rain yesterday.
The good news: No extra rain overnight
The rivers are still chrning mud through them, but there is a chance of finding some clear water by this afternoon. We are not very hopeful of finding decent water today, but there is a chance.

UPDATE: An inch and a half of rain this morning in a little over 3 hours. Things are very muddy and we are due for an inch or two again this evening.
UPDATE: There is no way for me to rank the fishing as zero. If there were it would be a 0. Tons of rain falling, roads flooded, and more rain coming. Do not bother with fishing this weekend, it will be ugly. Everything is way up and muddy and more heavy rain is on its way.
Rain forecasted for today, we already have had a handful of rain in the area. Today it is not supposed to be much, but tonight we are forecasted to get an inch or so. If that happens streams will blow out again and the smaller stuff will clear up by Saturday evening. We will keep you updated.
Today watch for some good olive hatches in the morning then, with the cloud cover, scuds will be moving around and fish will be gorging themselves.

Fishing will be good today, but only very early and very late. Otherwise it is going to be very hot and humid. Streams have cleared up quite a bit and only the larger streams are running cloudy to stained. The smaller tributary streams are stained to clear and very fishable.
Nymphs and scuds are working very well in the mornings as the trico hatch is pretty slim lately due to warmer temperatures.
In the evening we have had micro caddis and blue winged olives on the cool, smaller stretches of streams. On the lower sections a terrestrial (especially crickets and other black patterns) with a nymph dropper has been catching fish.

A break from the water last night means that the small streams are clear and the large streams are stained.
Very hot and muggy today. Fish early and late and find some shade both for better fishing, and for angler comfort!
Water temperature is a limiting factor right now if you encounter water temps 55-60 degrees you are in the right spot. 60-65 the fish may be a bit sluggish until the sun is off the water. 65-70 will be very lethargic fish (except for the chubs). 70+ stay away as it can be lethal to fish.
We caught a nice olive hatch last night as well as a handful of the micro caddis. Fish were rising immediately after the sun stopped shining directly on the water.
Fish are eating terrestrials on the surface, some tricos in the mornings, olives in the mornings and evening, and nymphs and scuds throughout the day.
