March 20th Fishing Report

Partly sunny, with a high near 46. Southwest wind 5 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Creeks are clear with temperatures in the mid to high 30s.
A very warm springlike week ahead.  We do not have a ton of snow left on the banks, but what is left will melt over the next couple of days.  Make sure you use your thermometer and if the temperature of the creek is dropping, it is time to move on.
On some of the shaded slopes there is still quite a bit of snow and that can muddy things up if it starts melting rapidly.  You are usually better off on open, meadow creeks that have less snow on them.
We are still in midge and winter stonefly hatch time, but with the warmer weather we are starting the blue winged olive watch.  Once the water temps hit 40 we should start to see them appearing.
