March 22nd Fishing Report

Patchy fog before 1pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 50. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Creeks are clear and flowing right around 40 degrees area wide.
There is little snow left on the banks, only in shaded areas and north facing bluffs are we finding significant snow.  The ground is doing an excellent job of soaking up any melting right now.  We have been lucky enough to have our fishing days last until almost 5 p.m. before the creeks cool down (due to melt water) and shut off.
On top of the midges and stones, we are seeing a few olives and have even spotted a couple of black caddis already.  Fishing a body double in black right now is deadly for rising fish.
Subsurface fishing has been great on scuds, flashy nymphs and leech patterns too.
