March 27th Fishing Report

Mostly sunny, with a high near 47. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph in the afternoon.
Snow is gone from the banks, water temperatures are at 40 degrees or warmer, olives are showing up here and there....  It's springtime in the Driftless!
Overall, creeks are clear and flowing a bit low.  Fish are responding very well to leeches and smaller streamers.  Nymphs are working well in the broken water and riffles as the flat, glassy water means very spooky fish right now.
Watch for fish rising in the riffles and runs just below throughout the day.  It will be midges or olives primarily, but there have been some very early black caddis spotted.
