March 31st Fishing Report

Rain and thunderstorms likely, then rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. High near 59. Southeast wind 8 to 14 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
We're not really sure what to make of the weather forecast.  We are supposed to get some precipitation, but it is all over the board of what might, or might not happen.  While we need the moisture, we just do not want it to all fall at once.  Keep an eye on the report and social media as we will keep you updated as best as possible if anything bad happens.
As of now, creeks are clear and a bit low.  It has been drizzling early this morning, but just enough to wet the pavement.
Fishing has been really fun lately with fish rising almost all day long to midges and olives with a few black caddis showing up as well.  In addition to the surface fishing, scuds and flashy nymphs have been excellent fished in the riffles. We prefer to fish them behind a size 16 foam fly in darker color to imitate our spring stoneflies.
