April 13th Fishing Report

Sunny, with a high near 81. Breezy, with a south wind 9 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
The hot weather has bumped water temperatures into the low to mid 50s.  This has the caddis coming off in pretty good numbers.  Mostly black caddis, but we have still seen tan out there too.
The olives are still here as well, but their hatches will be better this weekend when temperatures get back to normal and we see a bit of cloud cover.
Overall, creeks are clear and fish spooky.  Focus on shaded areas, and riffles or other water where the surface is moving and will break up what a trout can see.
Hatches are happening pretty much all day with things kicking off later in the morning.
Subsurface fishing is good on pretty much anything, but thinner bodied bugs will spook far fewer fish right now.
