April 16th Fishing Report

Snow, possibly mixed with rain before 4pm, then snow, possibly mixed with rain and sleet. Temperature falling to around 33 by 4pm. Breezy, with a northwest wind 14 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Weather is going to be ugly tonight and into tomorrow morning.  Forecasts from anywhere between 6 and 18 inches of snow!  While we welcome the water for the creeks, it will make travel extremely difficult and potentially dangerous.  Best to stay away until Tuesday or so.  Since the ground is thawed and dry most of the melting should percolate in pretty well.

IF you are here this morning, it is a worm morning.  On the way to the shop we noticed the first emergence of earthworms!  Fish the dark side and tie on a worm pattern this morning.

Otherwise, watch for olives to start hatching again with the cloud cover, and scuds will be a good idea.
