April 26th Fishing Report

Mostly sunny, with a high near 53. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning.
Creeks are clear and flowing well.  Any flood warnings you see on the weather forecast is for the Mississippi river NOT our spring creeks.  Our trout waters are in great shape.
We're getting a mix of emerging insects including midges, spring stoneflies, olives, caddis (both black and tan) and even some larger mayflies.  Subtle rising fish are eating mayflies and midges, aggressive rising fish are eating caddis.
Subsurface fishing has been great on purple drank, she ra, and simple zebra midges.
Suckers and chubs are spawning right now, so a baitfish style fly can be very effective fished below the riffles.
