May 23rd Fishing Report

Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Southwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
Creeks are very low and clear (we need rain badly!) and the fish are quite spooky.  Look for shaded areas and for fish to be sitting in the shallow riffles and underneath banks right now.  Fishing early and late and skipping the high mid day sun is also a good idea!

Caddis and craneflies are around, and fish are responding to them skittered in the riffle water.  We have started to see some sulphurs and cahills but it isn't what we would consider a 'hatch' yet.  They will appear in numbers soon....

Subsurface has been better on thin bodied bugs due to the clear water and clear skies.  Food, purdygons, zebra midges etc.
