August 11th Weekend OutlookMostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 83. Breezy, with a southwest wind 13 to 16 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.
Area wide we received about 1/4 of an inch of rain. While this will do nothing to increase the creek flow, these tiny rains have turned the fishing on a bit for a day or two recently. We are still extremely low and water temperatures are creeping up into the mid 60s. Please remember your thermometer and try to avoid anything over 65 degrees.
Tricos in the morning, and terrestrials with a dropper in the afternoon/evenings. It is typically best to fish like crazy early on, then take a mid day siesta and try the last two hours or so of sunlight for best fishing.
