March 25th Fishing Report

Rain, mainly after 11am. High near 51. Breezy, with a southeast wind 9 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Yesterday saw a bit over an inch of heavy snow falling, excellent news for the creeks and springs.  We need MUCH more, but yesterday's dump added to potential rains today are great news for the Driftless.
So far creeks are still in perfect shape (the ground is dry enough to absorb most of the melting), and the cloud cover has fish feeling happy.  Subsurface fishing is still best as water temperatures have not hit the 50 degree mark quite yet.  Temps are stuck in the mid to high 40s.
Watch for some olives and midges mid day, otherwise fishing a scud, leech, or sparkle donkey subsurface has been key.
