April 1st Fishing Report

Showers, mainly after 11am. High near 41. East wind 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Creeks are still very low and clear, but the cloud cover has helped fish feel more comfortable.  There was a decent olive hatch on many of our creeks yesterday with fish rising mid day until late afternoon (and eating subsurface on nymphs and emergers!)  We expect the same going forward for a few days.
There have also been reports of caddis showing up here and there already!
Fishing has been best in and below the riffles on bead heads (thin bodied, dark colors) then switching to dries and emergers if the hatch comes off and fish start rising.
