May 23rd Fishing Report

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between noon and 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Most of our creeks have dropped and cleared to fishable levels by late yesterday.  Expect most creeks to be clear to medium stained.  Only the largest bodies of water are still muddy enough to be pretty much unfishable.
On the clear creeks, lighter colored flies (mayflies like sulfurs, tan caddis, etc) are hatching on and off throughout the day.  If fish are not rising, beetles and ants are good surface searching patterns.
The subsurface bite is quite good now with scuds and smaller, flashy nymphs doing well.
