May 20th Fishing Report

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 49. Windy, with an east wind 24 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Creeks are in good shape as we only received half to 3/4 of an inch of rain last night into this morning.  The forecast isn't calling for a ton to fall throughout the day either.  Creek clarity isn't the issue today.
The wind is howling.  And there is not a place to avoid it.
When the wind blows like this, if you go fishing, you will want to stick to subsurface.  You don't need to be nearly as accurate with heavy scuds or leeches.
Overall, today is a day we suggest you pass on as the winds will be frustrating
Bigger waters are murky and muddy, but smaller headwater creeks have held up.  A little windshield time will get you fishable water!
