July 1st Fishing Report
Sunny, with a high near 82. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.Creeks have dropped and cleared quickly with more streams flowing clear to slightly stained. Only a couple of waters and the lower sections of larger creeks are murky still. Temperatures are pretty good for summer with most creeks in the low 60s, but continue to use your thermometer! Anything over 65 will be slow fishing and much higher than that you are at risk of killing fish!
Terrestrials with a dropper are the main way to prospect for trout right now. Focus on the riffles and shaded undercut banks. The last hour or two of sunlight we do have some rising fish. A parachute adams, or cranefly should do the trick to get them to eat. We like to fish two dries. Our beetle up front, and our parachute behind.
