March 9th Fishing Report

Rain. High near 47. West wind 6 to 8 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Warm and drizzly today.  The melting will continue.  It was nowhere near as bad as we first thought.  While it did slow down fishing, it didn't cause any crazy flooding or ruin fishing yesterday until the afternoon.  Expect creeks to be stained to murky for another day or two.  The good news is most of the snow has melted, leaving only shaded areas and north facing slops with snow on them.
In these conditions, your best bet is throwing a leech pattern or san juan worm.  Make sure you check water temperatures, and spend some time looking at different creeks.  There is some good water out there, but it is not everywhere due to snowmelt.
