July 23rd Fishing Report

Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph.
We couldn't ask for better weather!  Things are cool and creeks are clear to stained.
Hatches are still sparse, but rising fish will not hesitate to take an ant pattern or purple parachute twitched over their feeding lie.
Terrestrials are also fishing well on the surface, especially near overhanging vegetation and undercut banks.  Remember that things need to dry out for terrestrials to be active, so late morning into the afternoon is best.
Subsurface fishing has been hot on scuds and spanish bullets lately!
