February 20th Fishing Report

Sunny, with a high near 24. Wind chill values as low as -4. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
Looks like we have nice weather for the next couple of days.  Some creeks are ice free (think larger meadow creeks) while some are still unfishable due to shelf ice.  The next couple days of 'warmer' weather will help free the creeks up of ice.
Watch for midge hatches as well as winter stoneflies in the middle part of the day.
It is essential that you know the water temperature right now.  You want to fish the warming water, but as things get too warm and the snow melts the trickle of melt will drop the creek temperature and shut everything down.

The shop will be closed Sunday through Wednesday.  Please e-mail us if you have any questions over the next couple of days.
