March 5th Fishing Report

Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Creeks remain mostly clear.  It still has not been hot enough to melt a bunch of snow and turn things muddy.  The fishing has started a bit earlier, and slowed down after mid day as the melting that is happening hits around 1 and slows the fishing down noticeably.
Overall water temperatures start in the high 30s then can get up to the mid 40s mid day.
Winter stonelifes, midges, and even a few blue winged olives are showing up daily with fish rising late morning into the afternoon on some creeks.
Subsurface fishing has been great on scuds, spanish bullets, and purple drank.
Small streamers and leeches have also been quite good!
