March 17th Fishing Report

A chance of rain, snow, and freezing rain before noon, then a slight chance of rain between noon and 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
There is still some snow on the banks.  It is melting slowly again meaning fishing is decent until the melt hits the creeks and drops the water temperatures.
Tomorrow will be warmer and sunnier and should get rid of most of the snow on the banks again!  We will keep you posted on clarity etc, but we're thinking it should not mess the creeks up much.
As odd as it sounds, the warmer weather and sun is helpful in the winter.  As the creeks warm up the bugs get active and the fishing gets better.
Fish are eating midges on the surface mid day, and eating leeches and bead heads throughout the day.  We have started to catch fish on foam patterns typically in darker body colors (the spring stoneflies are beginning to make an appearance).
Creeks are clear with temperatures in the low 40s.
