May 18th Fishing Report

Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 5pm. High near 68. Southeast wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Today will be a bit windy as a storm system blows in.  The much needed cloud cover and (hopefully) rain will do wonders for our fishery.  Right now the water is very low and clear.  The clouds in the sky should make trout a bit happier.
Caddis and craneflies are still the main thing on the menu right now.  Fishing to rising fish in the afternoon and into the evenings has been quite fun.
Subsurface fishing has been great on spanish bullets when the sun is out, and on thicker bodied bugs and scuds when the clouds are overhead.
