June 18th Fishing Report

Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Light northwest wind becoming west 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
2-3 inches of rain last night have things murky this morning, however creeks are clearing rapidly as the ground absorbed quite a bit of the rains.  A few tributaries were fishable first thing this morning and we expect more to get into shape after lunch.
However, it is still hot and sunny out!  Make sure you use your thermometer.  Anything over 65 will be slow fishing and much hotter than that means you are stressing out the fish.
After today, we will get some cooler weather that will hopefully get things back on track for the late spring/early summer.  Once water temperatures drop back towards normal (and we get more rain...) things should turn on.
Right now it is all terrestrials with a few hatches in the evenings.  We have started to see hoppers already!  Foam with a dropper during the day, then switching over to some klinkhammers in the evening will catch fish.
