June 22nd Fishing Report

Partly sunny, with a high near 73. Southwest wind 3 to 8 mph.
Creeks are low and clear with temperatures in the mid 50s to mid 60s.  While we are done with the crazy hot weather, it is still a good idea to use your thermometer as a couple of creeks are still over the 65 degree range.  Most creeks are back in shape with decent temps.  Things are still very low though, so approach with some stealth and caution.
Through the day, a terrestrial with a bead head below is very good.  Trout are eating ants, beetles, and even a few hoppers and crickets on the surface.  Subsurface has been great on thin bodied patterns.
In the evening we are getting some fish to eat mayflies.  A lighter colored klinkhammer and a purple parachute will do wonders.
