August 31st Fishing Report

Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming east around 6 mph in the afternoon.
Creeks in our area are clear to slightly stained with good temperatures and flows.  The weather is quite nice right now and cools down a bit later on in the week.
Fishing has been very solid when the sun is off the water (avoid bright mid day sun or find shade).  While there are no major hatches, there are still some tricos around as well as small white mayflies in the evenings.  The main menu item continues to be terrestrials.  Fishing the shin to thigh deep water below the riffles with a foam pattern and a dropper is key to catching fish right now.
