September 3rd Fishing Report

Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. High near 64. Southeast wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Small cell of rain over the area right now.  It should not be enough to mess up the fishing outside of a couple of isolated places.  Overall the creeks are in great shape flowing clear to slightly stained.  Only the Bad Axe watershed (lower portion) and the West Fork of the Kickapoo are still showing a medium to heavy stain in areas.
The cooler weather has trout in quite the good mood.  Fishing a hopper/dropper all day long, and throwing purple klinkhammers at rising fish has been very effective.
With the cloud cover today; scuds, leeches and streamers will be quite effective too.
The holiday weekend is shaping up to be excellent weather.  Highs in the low to mid 70s and dropping down into the low 50s at night!
