September 23rd Fishing Report

Sunny, with a high near 67. Light north wind becoming northwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
Creeks are clear to slightly stained with excellent temperatures in the high 50s to 60.
We're looking at daytime temperatures barely hitting 70 all week through Sunday.  These cool downs in fall provide some really good fishing.  Not only are the fish eating terrestrials well, we are seeing some later afternoon olive hatches that have fish looking up.  The normal rhythm is nymphing early in the morning, followed by hopper/dropper the rest of the day.  If you see fish rising, a film star or tilt wing dun in a darker color to imitate the olives is very effective!
The other nice thing about this weather is that streamers and leeches are very effective again too.
