October 2nd Fishing Report

Season ends soon!  You can fish through the 15th of October but it closes completely (no inland trout fishing at all) on the 16th!

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. West wind 6 to 9 mph.
Creeks are clear and a bit low.  Temperatures are in the low 60s to mid 60s but will cool rapidly over the next few days.
The clouds finally arrived!  There has been no significant rain and creeks remain clear.  The cloud cover should put the trout in a better mood, and there is a chance to see the olive hatch re appear this week!  Watch for rising fish in the afternoon.
Otherwise fishing your normal terrestrial with a bead head below, focusing on the shin to thigh deep water below the riffles will catch fish.
With the clouds, the leech and streamer fishing will pick up again toO!
