April 3rd Fishing Report

Rain likely, mainly after 4pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 46. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Overall, spring fishing has been solid.  We have had some precipitation the past few days, but nothing that has blow rivers out and slowed the fishing down.  Creeks are clear to stained with temperatures in the mid 40s.
Blue winged olives, a few spring stoneflies, and midges are still hatching getting some pods of rising fish in the afternoon.  Guide trips have done very well fishing foam with a dropper already.  With the overcast skies and sometimes stained water, scuds have been deadly lately along with leeches.  Hot nymphs have been purple drank and some caddis larvae.
