April 18th Fishing Report

Scattered rain and snow showers before noon, then a slight chance of snow showers between noon and 2pm, then rain and snow showers likely after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Breezy, with a west wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Creeks are flowing a bit low and are clear to slightly stained.  Temperatures are in the low to mid 40s.
Olives are the main menu item right now, with a spring stonefly here and here still around.  Guides are doing well fishing leeches early in the morning, switching to a foam fly with a dropper mid day, then watching for fish rising to olives in the later afternoon and evening.
