April 26th Fishing Report

Cloudy early, then gradual clearing, with a high near 45. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Creeks are clear and flowing a bit low.  Temperatures are right around 50 degrees area wide.
The chilly weather that has plagued us all April long is still here.  The good news is that the fish do not really care too much!  While it has suppressed the caddis hatch, fish are feeding well subsurface on scuds any nymphs.  There are still a few olive mayflies hatching and fish rising to them in the evenings, but most of the action is below the surface right now.  Once we get a sunny day, we should see much more caddis activity (even when we get a break in the clouds we are seeing caddis for a few minutes!).
