May 27th Fishing Report

Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. North wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
A new weather system is rolling in bringing some wind and warmer weather over the holiday weekend.
Creeks are clear to stained with only the West Fork showing a heavier stain.  The recent rains were soaked into the ground leaving our streams in good shape.
Caddis are still the main hatch, but we are seeing more craneflies and lighter colored mayflies (cahill/sulphur) showing up in the evenings.  While not a major hatch, it is definitely something to keep an eye out for.
Terrestrials have been successful all month long, and with a bit of wind and warmer weather ahead, make sure you have ants and beetles in your fly box!
