August 18th Fishing Report

A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph.
It's still terrestrial season, nothing beats a hopper/dropper right now!
We do have some rain forecasted over the next few days.  Nothing that should ruin the fishing however!  The rains do tend to slow down the terrestrial fishing as wet ants, beetles, and grasshoppers don't like to move around as much.  When this happens, expect much more activity subsurface, especially on scuds!  Scuds are FAR more active when the sun is not shining, and if we actually get a little extra water coming through the creeks, the scud fishing in the summer can be fantastic.
