September 2nd Fishing Report

A slight chance of showers between 10am and 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. South wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
It will be hot and humid out there today (cools down into the mid 70s for Saturday and Sunday).  The cloud cover early will help a ton both with angler comfort and fishing!
Fish are responding to a splatted terrestrial near the banks.  They are loving the noise and we have seen some fish come rocketing out from cover to eat.  Most trout are in the riffles right now so do not neglect some of the shallow water, even with your big hopper pattern.  In the evenings, there will be fish rising.  While there is not a major hatch right now, having a few lighter colored (yellow to white) parachutes and some caddis to skitter across the surface is a good idea.
