September 22nd Fishing Report

Sunny, with a high near 61. North wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
What a week ahead of us!  Weather is fantastic and the water is in great shape for the start of fall.
Creeks are clear and a bit low with temps right around 60 degrees.  The cooler weather and cloud cover the next few days should produce some afternoon olive hatches.  Make sure to stock up on purple film stars!  Through the day fish will continue to eat terrestrials and, of course, feed subsurface on thinner bodied bead head nymphs.  Fish a small training wheel with a zebra midge or perdigon below when fish are not visibly eating on the surface.
We have a last minute apartment opening for this weekend.  Call the shop to book Friday and Saturday!
