October 3rd Fishing Report
Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. South wind around 6 mph.Wisconsin's trout season runs through the 15th of October. Only a few more days left to explore the Driftless!
Low clear water and bright skies mean fish are super spooky right now. Fishing has been difficult (pray for clouds!) but not impossible. Focus on the broken water in the riffles and current seams where fish can't see you as easily.
It's still foam attractor or hopper with a bead head below, but you will find fish rising on and off all day long. The most surface activity is concentrated in the later part of the day right near dark.
